From deep in the Appalachains where the Great Smoky Mountains meet the Blue Ridge comes the Balsam Range band, creatively blending Bluegrass, Folk, Gospel, and Jazz into a new American acoustical experience.

Bluegrass is an important dimension of Balsam Range, but equally important are Gospel and Country Music.  Band members grew up in the rich musical heritage of the Appalachian South, steeped in traditions of The Grand Ole Opry and the influences of the Scotch-Irish settlers of these mountains.

WCNW, the #1 flagship Bluegrass station, voted Trains I Missed #1 on their Top 50 Bluegrass CDs of 2010, and #5 on their top 100 overall from any genre (ahead of Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton, and Robert Plant).

We hope you will come out and enjoy an evening of fabulous American acoustical music with these five talented men–BALSAM RANGE.
