Funders

TFC’s Funding

The Free Clinics has a diversified funding base that includes donations, special events, state and local government support, foundation and corporate grants, United Way funding, service and/or rental contracts, limited fee-for-service, and interest income.  For the July 2015 – June 2016 fiscal year, TFC’s funding sources are divided as follows:

  • Donations—16%
  • Special Events—9%
  • Foundation, Corporate, and United Way Grants—34%
  • Government Support (federal, state, and local)—36%
  • Earned income (pharmacy co-pays and rent)—4%
  • Miscellaneous—1%

 

All clinics and programs are provided to patients free of charge, with the exception of a modest $3 filling fee for the Community Pharmacy.  Patients are offered the opportunity to make a donation in return for services.
